Located in the heart of An Fál Carrach, An tSean Bheairic is a vibrant cultural, educational and heritage centre located in the town’s former Garda barracks. Visitors are warmly welcomed to explore our exhibition, which tells the story of the building and rich heritage of the local area.

Our café offers excellent coffee and a selection of delicious food in a relaxed, welcoming setting
Our craft shop showcases a unique selection of artwork by local artists, along with a wide range of Irish made arts and crafts from Irish brands. We have a large selection of Irish language books, as well as a variety of gifts and other products. By shopping with us, you are helping to support local artists, Irish makers and small businesses.
Donegal Gaeltact culture is at the heart of everything we do. We support the Irish language through our community Irish classes and bring people together through art, traditional music, dancing, storytelling and other cultural activities.

Throughout the year we host art exhibitions, classes, workshops, concerts and cultural events, as well as our annual festival celebrating the rich traditions of our community.
